Effectiveness of Individualized Empowerment Education on Children with Beta-Thalassemia Major: A Mixed-Method Study

In this study, it was aimed to identify the problems related disease process of 12-18 years old children with Beta-Thalassemia Major and examine effectiveness individualized empowerment education regarding these needs. This research is a mixed-type study. first stage, determine needs BTM in relation process; phenomenological method used. second pre/post-test controlled quasi-experimental used single group. "Descriptive Information Form", "Semi-Structured Interview Form" "Questionnaire for Determining Needs Children Beta Thalassemia Major" were collect data. The three themes formed: treatment process, family social life. stated that they had health such as fatigue, headache, weakness before erythrocyte transfusion.
